Message #141279
[Bug 1502578] [NEW] HPLIP plugin installer hangs forever
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf
The plugin needed for the scanner included with my HP CM1415fn MFP
cannot be installed. The plugin installer hangs just after I did accept
the terms and never returns. There is no difference whether that was
started from hp-setup, hp-toolbox or hp-plugin.
Please note, that hp-plugin must not be started as root anymore; it just
prints an error message then. Aso hp-plugin-ubuntu does not work at all
anymore just because of that reason.
>From the log below you can see that download of the plugin works OK but
installation hangs forever.
