Title:
  HPLIP plugin installer hangs forever

Status in hplip package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf

The plugin needed for the scanner included with my HP CM1415fn MFP
cannot be installed. The plugin installer hangs just after I did
accept the terms and never returns. There is no difference whether
that was started from hp-setup, hp-toolbox or hp-plugin.

Please note, that hp-plugin must not be started as root anymore; it
just prints an error message then. Aso hp-plugin-ubuntu does not work
at all anymore just because of that reason.

From the log below you can see that download of the plugin works OK
  but installation hangs forever.

  Console log:

  bela@luna:~$ hp-plugin
