Title:
  Cannot connect to 3G (via Longcheer USB Modem) on latest Oneirc update
  (after Beta 1)

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Prior to latest update (but after last full upgrade to Oneiric Beta
  1,) 3G connection using a Longcheer WM66A modem was possible.  As of
  September 3 update of network-manager, the modem dials and connects
  successfully, but disconnects immediately due to a 'ip-config-
  unavailable' reason:
