[Bug 1497545] Re: archive manager changes file manager default settings to show hidden files
I just realized that my description doesn't make it very clear what the real issue is:
after changing the setting to show hidden files from archive manager, it's not possible to change this setting back from nautilus. Please read the thread I linked - there are lots of people coming up with weird workarounds to reset the settings.

Title:
archive manager changes file manager default settings to show hidden
files
Status in file-roller package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Ubuntu 15.04
file-roller 3.14.2-0ubuntu5
Reproduce:
Open an archive and click extract. In the directory browser press Ctrl+H to show hidden folders. Cancel and close archive manager.
Expected:
This should have no effect on the file browser in general after archive manager is closed.
Actual outcome:
Hidden files and folders are shown by default every time a file manager window is opened.
Workaround:
Same as reproduce, this time press Ctrl+H to hide hidden folders. The setting applies to file manager.
