Title:
[ilk mesa] overwritten video memory with pixel data

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Occasionally when resizing windows on Xubuntu 14.04, the desktop
freezes and does not respond to keyboard presses or mouse clicks. When
this happens, it is possible to switch to a virtual terminal and
execute shell commands. This freeze does not happen everytime a window
is resized, but it does happen approximately once per week.

  The output from dmesg shows:

[162720.545967] [drm] stuck on render ring
[162720.546032] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error
  ...
