Title:
collation should default to on, when printing multiple copies with
duplex enabled
Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evince
When I set the number of copies to be greater than 1, the print dialog
enables the Collate checkbox. However, the Checkbox default to off.
When I print two copies, this means that the first sheet will have two
copies of the first page, the second sheet will have two copies of the
second page, and so on.
I can't imagine that printing that way is the typical use case, so it
seems better to make Collate the default, at least when printing
duplex. (My guess is that it would be preferable even when printing
single-sided. But maybe I haven't thought that throught.)
Note that this differs from bug 706320. Even with collation enabled,
the issue in 706320 still occurs.
