[Bug 1522976] Re: GNOME/X randomly freezes after clicking on something

** Description changed:

Sometimes when doing clicking on something in GNOME (or Unity, in 14.04
(haven't tested Unity in 15.10)) like 'Activities' or an application
like Maps in the Applications section of Activities, or even 'Details'
in the GNOME Control Center (or simply clicking on the Unity Control
Center icon in the Launcher in Unity), the computer will freeze and I
can't even switch to a login terminal and have to hard shutdown.

This happens frequently although irregularly. I can usually avoid the
- bug if I don't use Activities or Settings... I don't think this happens
- using the Nvidia drivers (though I will check) and it doesn't happen
- with GNOME Flashback (so I presume it's a problem with Nouveau and '3D'
+ bug if I don't use Activities or Settings..., it doesn't happen with
+ GNOME Flashback (so I presume it's a problem with Nouveau and '3D'
  desktop environments/window managers).

I'm really sorry I can't be any more specific than this at the moment.
Please point me in the right direction to learn more about this bug if
  need be.

Seems to be a bug that appeared in Linux 3.7
