Ads20000, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

Could you please provide the full computer model (ex. iMedia xx.U8L) as
noted on the sticker of the computer itself (not from the Bug

Title:
GNOME/X randomly freezes after clicking on something

Status in xserver-xorg-video-nouveau package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Sometimes when doing clicking on something in GNOME (or Unity, in
14.04 (haven't tested Unity in 15.10)) like 'Activities' or an
application like Maps in the Applications section of Activities, or
even 'Details' in the GNOME Control Center (or simply clicking on the
Unity Control Center icon in the Launcher in Unity), the computer will
freeze and I can't even switch to a login terminal and have to hard
  shutdown.

This happens frequently although irregularly. I can usually avoid the
bug if I don't use Activities or Settings..., it doesn't happen with
GNOME Flashback (so I presume it's a problem with Nouveau and '3D'
  desktop environments/window managers).

I'm really sorry I can't be any more specific than this at the moment.
Please point me in the right direction to learn more about this bug if
  need be.

Seems to be a bug that appeared in Linux 3.7
  https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=156690 .

The Nvidia 304 drivers don't work at all once logged in.
