Title:
"Volume doesn't implement mount" error when accessing SMB shares from
  browser

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
After adding a Windows share via Nautilus and bookmarking it, the
share is accessible as expected in Nautilus.

When trying to upload files via Firefox or Google Chrome using e.g.
the "Browse" button on Flickr, the File chooser dialog fails opening
the bookmarked share with the error message: "Volume doesn't implement
  mount".

  Further observations:
  - Trying to mount the share in the shell via gvfs-mount yields the same error message, though the mount completes successfully.
  - Uploading files via navigating to the ~/.gvfs subfolder works.

System info: Ubuntu 10.10 (as of Nov 19, 2010), German locale, all gvfs-packages installed
