  Printer attempts to print on paper as if paper was loaded landscape

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: hplip

  I have an OfficeJet Pro K550 which loads paper short-end first, in
  traditional fashion.

  Since upgrading to the Karmic beta, it attempts to print as if the
  paper was loaded long-edge first. IT will get to the end of the first
  line, then stop with a paper jam error.

  The printer can print test pages from its internal memory without
  being connected to the computer.

  A test page printed from CUPS or hp-toolbox shows a strip of the side
  of the sheet, printed across the top.
