Title:
[upstream] AutoFill not working down merged cells

Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite:
  Confirmed
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
I want to autofill a series of dates, but in merged cells. I need to have a header row that is composed of 4 merge cells that states dates incrementally:
  E.G. :

  --------------------------------------------
                           |------------------
  Date |------------------
                           |------------------
  --------------------------------------------
  I want to |------------------
  autofill |------------------
  increments here |------------------
  ---------------------------------------------

right now when I use the autofil feature, the increments are 4 instead
of what I would expect to be 1 (because there are now 1 merged cell
and not 4 separate cells). I tried to use the fill series function,
but it fools the spreadsheet and fills each row, as if the cells were
  not merged.

Is there a way to accomplish this without having to enter each date
  manually ?

  Thank you for your time,

  David.
