[Bug 851023] Re: "Enable Wireless" in Network Manager Applet grayed out

Please make very sure that your user is indeed configured as an
administrator but not set to UID 0; and that permissions in your home
directory are fine... That's prety much the best I can suggest for
fixing this without seeing the system (it's a little hard to guess what
might be wrong). You can always seek help on IRC in #ubuntu or on forums
to try and find out how to fix this for your user.

Closing this bug as Invalid since it's not a bug in NM.

Title:
"Enable Wireless" in Network Manager Applet grayed out

Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
In my panel, "Enable Wireless" is grey and unchecked although I have a
working wireless network. It used to work correctly. But after latest
update it cannot work. Besides, in System Settings => User Accounts,
the "unlock" greyed, too. My account type is Administrator, in the
root group. My network-manager is 0.9.0-0ubuntu3.
