[Bug 314147] Re: [Upstream] Calc can't load a *.wb3 file

This is:
- a clearcut upstream issue
- wishlist/feature request unlikely to be fixable with a simple patch
- wont be fixed in libreoffice packaging
Resolving as WONTFIX in libreoffice packaging. This does not mean the issue will not be cared about, but if it is cared about (even by Ubuntu/Canonical contributors), it is done upstream at LibreOffice.

Libreoffice (Ubuntu) => WONTFIX

** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
       Status: Triaged => Won't Fix

  3) What is expected to happen using LibreOffice Calc via the Terminal:

  cd ~/Desktop && wget

  && localc -nologo CAR08.wb3

  is the file opens.

  4) What happens instead is it fails silently.

  WORKAROUND: Convert the file using Gnumeric's ssconvert and open in
  LibreOffice via the Terminal:

  ssconvert CAR08.wb3 CAR08.ods && localc -nologo CAR08.ods

  WORKAROUND: Use Gnumeric.
