[Bug 810414] Re: VPN service fails to start
This is likely due to a local change on the system:
Jul 14 13:38:58 svart NetworkManager[812]: <warn> VPN connection
'BTGuard VPN' failed to connect: 'property 'progname=nm-openvpn-auth-
dialog; RGBA=on' invalid or not supported'
Please make sure your install is clean. You can reinstall network-manager-openvpn like so:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall network-manager-openvpn
You can also verify that /etc/NetworkManager/VPN/nm-openvpn-service.name
doesn't include changes you've made locally.
** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

Title:
VPN service fails to start
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I am completely unable to connect to VPN. When attempting to connect
n-m reports that the VPN service failed to start.
Running the following in Terminal:
service openvpn start
Yields following output:
Starting virtual private network daemon(s)...
Attempting to connect to VPN after this fails with the same error as
above.
I would like to see this fixed also I would like to know if this works
in Maverick.
