[Bug 855891] [NEW] Network-manager cannot find shared library after last updates and the network was completely gone
Public bug reported:
I updated this morning and when I logged in tonight I did not have the
network-manager icon and no network connection. I tried with ethernet
and wifi and there was not connection. Network-manager was still running
in the background.
The workaround for this was found in:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11272304&postcount=21
It basically consists of:
sudo cp /usr/lib/thunderbird-7.0/libnss3.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
and after rebooting the icon and the network were back again and I
reinstalled this library:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall libnss3
