[Bug 859283] Re: thunderbird always resets to maximized when restored

Changing to unity because thunderbird is no longer exhibiting this
behaviour, but Firefox is.

** Package changed: thunderbird (Ubuntu) => unity (Ubuntu)

** Description changed:

+ Note: This behaviour first appeared in Thunderbird in two different
+ machines but is now showing up in Firefox.
+
  To reproduce:

- 1. Run Thunderbird and set it to non-maximized.
+ 1. Run the offending app and set it to non-maximized.
  2. Minimize it.
  3. Click on the laucher icon to restore the window.

- When restored, Thunderbird is in a maximized window - but it should
- retain the state it had when it was minimized.
+ When restored, the offending app is in a maximized window - but it
+ should retain the state it had when it was minimized.

This happens in both unity-2d on a VM and unity-3d on my main machine.

- Additionally, on my unity-3d desktop, if I leave Thunderbird maximized
- and then minimize/restore it, it re-appears behind the unity launcher
- (which is set to never hide) instead of to the right-hand side of it.
+ Additionally, on my unity-3d desktop, if I leave the offending app
+ maximized and then minimize/restore it, it re-appears behind the unity
+ launcher (which is set to never hide) instead of to the right-hand side
+ of it.

Title:
non-maximized applications sometimes reset to maximized when restored
  from the launcher

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Note: This behaviour first appeared in Thunderbird in two different
machines but is now showing up in Firefox.

  To reproduce:

  1. Run the offending app and set it to non-maximized.
  2. Minimize it.
  3. Click on the laucher icon to restore the window.

When restored, the offending app is in a maximized window - but it
should retain the state it had when it was minimized.

This happens in both unity-2d on a VM and unity-3d on my main machine.

Additionally, on my unity-3d desktop, if I leave the offending app
maximized and then minimize/restore it, it re-appears behind the unity
launcher (which is set to never hide) instead of to the right-hand
  side of it.
