Message #24736
[Bug 861065] [NEW] Cannot find outgoing message which keeps failing
Public bug reported:
Due to other bugs with the new mbox protocol (#861064), I have a message
that was sent to my service provider's SMTP server that it won't accept.
That in itself isn't the problem here, but for completeness I've
attached the error block that I see upon starting Evolution.
I think I should be able to clear this condition by simply deleting the
message from the outbox. Since it didn't get sent, it should be there.
(If it was sent, it would be in Sent, and Evolution would stop trying to
send it).
My problem is that I can't find this message to clear the error.
Consequently, every time Evolution starts, it attempts to re-send the
message, and I get this same error.
Another consequence is that I get a message upon quitting that there are
unsent messages. Since I can't send them, and can't delete them, I also
can't get this message to go away.
By the way, the error is because of the invalid e-mail (from address) on
my mbox account, which my provider (who uses Yahoo's servers) has quite
rightly found wanting.
