Title:
Apps crash during screen setup change
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in
g_simple_async_result_complete()
I was in single-monitor setup. I switched to dual-monitor through the display parameters dialog box, and validated.
As I was unsatisfied with the results, I canceled the change, and returned to the initial single-monitor setup.
The crash may be due to any of the two monitor setup changes.
I have encountered multiple application crashes, including LibreOffice
Writer, while changing monitor setups since installing 11.10 beta.
Every time, multiple windows are open, and one of them may crash.
I have a 13' laptop display and a larger external display, used side-
by-side ; so any monitor setup change involves resizing of the
desktop.
