[Bug 778997] Re: Malformed result expressions shown when working with complex numbers
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. I have tried to reproduce
this on Natty with the latest updates installed, with the same version
of gcalctool ( 6.0.1~git20110421-0ubuntu1), but 5+8i+i shows 5+9i as a
result, as expected, and I could not reproduce the issue you have
reported. Could you please try to reproduce it again, and if you are
able, please give more detailed instructions on how to reproduce, and
maybe a screenshot too. Also note that I have tried both the command
line interface and the gnome interface, but both show correct results.
** Changed in: gcalctool (Ubuntu)

Title:
Malformed result expressions shown when working with complex numbers
Status in “gcalctool” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gcalctool
When showing the result of operations (complex numbers), if the real
part and the imaginary part are both positive, i.e. 5+7i, for example,
the result shown is 57i.
Other example: 5+8i + i = 59i, when 5+9i must be shown. When one of
both of the parts are negative, the result is OK. And if the result
has two or more digits, the result is OK too...
I think something strange is happening when trying to print the result
(do printf() or similar) in the program
