Title:
Evolution fails to ask for password while contacting server
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
When starting Evolution, it attempts to retrieve email from pop.server without requesting a password, resulting in 'Error while fetching mail' message.
Using the Send/Receive button throws up a dialog box 'Send & Receive Mail' which then request password details and proceeds accordingly. Remember password is also checked but never seems to be retained by Evolution either.
From .xsession-errors
** (evolution:7282): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed
** (evolution:7282): DEBUG: Number of email accounts: 1
Ubuntu 9.10
