Title:
missing window decorations after reboot
Status in “metacity” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: metacity
After each reboot there are no window decorations. I have to (re)set
the vissual effects after each reboot in the "Uiterlijk" (dutch app
name) or "Themes" application in the System -> Preferences menu to
restore them. However this only works for the current session. I
completely removed all compiz packages to rule out this beeing a
compiz problem. Also reinstalled the metacity packages. The "metacity
--replace" command only solves this for the current session also. This
problem occured some time ago after an update, but i don't know which
one exactly. I assume this is a metacity problem because i don't know
what else it could be, but i'm not that much of an expert. I am aware
of the fact that other people had this problem before, but al the
opted solutions did not work for me.
