Title:
totem wma buffering problem when pause->beginning
Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: totem
Jaunty 64-bit
Installed: 2.26.1-0ubuntu5
How to reproduce:
when playing a wma file, let the file file play, and pause where there is some sound (ie, almost anywhere). Letting the player stay paused, drag the slider all the way to the beginning. Press play. You should here a split second of the sound that was going to follow where it was previously paused.
I have only found this error in wma files and only when dragging back
alll the way to the beginning. Although this might not seem to be a
very common scenario, I think that it is not rare: it could be very
understandable that someone is playing a song, then is interrupted so
pauses the file, comes back from the interruption, and decides to
restart the song. True, the listener could just double click on the
file in the playlist, but perhaps he just moves the slider to 00:00.
I do not think this is the codec because the error does not happen in
the other players I have insalled.
Hope this helps. Thanks
