[Bug 875917] [NEW] Some resolutions missing from Gnome Control Center

Public bug reported:

Using a 1680x1050 monitor (in this case, an "Acer AL2216W"), under
"System Settings > Displays," the (double-scaling) 840x525 resolution is
unavailable, even though it is listed in xrandr (see posted log).

That seems to be a regression from natty, as Gnome Control Center
previously would be listing that resolution.

A workaround to this issue of course is running "xrandr -s 840x525"
through the terminal, even though that way it takes some time for the
system to switch to that resolution (for it to be noted, there was no
such waiting time in natty).

I hope all this information to be helpful to you developers in
investigating the current issue. If any more information would be
needed, do not hesitate to prompt for it; I would then acquiesce in as
much as the situation would require.
