Message #35929
[Bug 876224] [NEW] attempting to remove gwibber should not say that ubuntu-desktop will be removed
Public bug reported:
OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric stable
Application: Gwibber 3.2.0.1-0ubuntu1
Ubuntu is about the choice to mix and match applications. Attempting to
remove gwibber, however, throws up the message that "ubuntu-desktop"
will have to be removed as well. this is a scary and misleading message,
as I have been informed that ubuntu-desktop is merely a metapackage of
dependencies (here, http://askubuntu.com/questions/66244/how-do-i
-safely-remove-gwibber).
This message should not pop up.
** Affects: gwibber (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
