[Bug 876432] [NEW] unable to disconnect from wireless device. unable to restart and shutdown

unable to:
- disconnect (wireless) 
- uninstall network-manager from software center
- shutdown
- restart 

all commands bring up the same black screen. i think that the network
manager is unable to shutdown.

installed wicd > no result
uninstalled network-manager-gnome > no result
