[Bug 876658] [NEW] [Thinkpad T510] Brasero fails to find blank CD or DVD media on this system's DVD-RAM drive

Public bug reported:

Typically, during testing, I use Brasero to burn a pre-made 10MB ISO to
disk to test a drive's writing ability. However, with theDVD-RAM drive
( HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT30N ) on this machine, Brasero does not find any
blank media. I tried several CD-R and DVD-R disks but Brasero failed to
find any of them.

Ubuntu Itself recognized each one, and I finally tested the drive by
using Ubuntu's native disk writing (drag file to the disk and click Burn
in the file browser) to test the drive's writing functionality. I've
used Brasero on several other systems with Oneiric without issue... this
is the first time it's failed to work properly.
