[Bug 868346] Re: Wrong initial value in language selector

** Also affects: accountsservice (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Changed in: accountsservice (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => In Progress

** Changed in: accountsservice (Ubuntu)
     Assignee: (unassigned) => Gunnar Hjalmarsson (gunnarhj)

** Summary changed:

- Wrong initial value in language selector
+ Language selector broken in Ubuntu

** Description changed:

  If you enable the language selector in lightdm-gtk-greeter, the initial
  value is incorrectly based on the LANG environment variable instead of
- the current language. It means that if the LANG locale differs from the
- locale that represents the language, you need to explicitly set your
- desired language at each login.
+ the current language, and whatever option you select, the session
+ language is still the previously saved user language.

** Branch linked: lp:~gunnarhj/lightdm/lang-chooser-superseded
