Title:
  software center doesn't asks for password, and thus it can't install
  or remove programs

Bug description:
  I just upgraded distro from Natty to Oneiric. Now I can't install programs using the Software Center. The "Install" button does nothing.
  However, if I run 'sudo software-center', then it works properly.
