[Bug 876696] Re: Epiphany is used by default no matter what the default browser is
Yes you both correct,
Epiphany marked itself as default browser when irc and gwibber used it I
changed it back but was still looking at the links when I reported the
bug so must of assumed it was opened post change back. So the only app
it appears to be at fault then is ubuntu-bug/apport that is still using
Epiphany by default then.
Please feel free to close this bug I will create a new one against
ubuntu-bug/apport. Thanks you for the info it has made everything a
little clearer :)

Title:
Epiphany is used by default no matter what the default browser is
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
If you install Epiphany even if it is not set to be the default
browser it will be opened in preference of the default browser when
using ubuntu-bug, links from email, links from irc etc.
This only happens when you install epiphany otherwise what ever is
listed as default is used.
