[Bug 876576] Re: randr panning not working with lightdm
lightdm just let xorg do the job, reassigning there, it would be useful
if you could add your Xorg.0.log to the bug, how do you call the
command?

Bug description:
Ubuntu 11.10 LightDM 1.0.1-0ubuntu6
Acer Aspire 1 - Screen resolution 1024x600
Screen will not pan using the mouse, used to work with Ubuntu 11.04
under the old window manager. The screen does appear to take the
larger size but cannot scroll to the bottom portion.
Command: xrandr --output LVDS1 --fb 1024x768 --panning 1024x768
