Title:
User allowed to enter duplicate accounts, shows "Network Error" for
  duplicates.

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

I was allowed to enter a duplicate of an existing AIM account, i.e. an
additional account using the same login information as an existing
one. The program said "Disconnected - Network Error" Which does not
  seem to be the case.
