Message #39223
[Bug 746274] after password change, and reboot, unlock screen is shown multiple times
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

Title:
after password change, and reboot, unlock screen is shown multiple
times
Status in “gnome-keyring” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-keyring
I changed my login password, but left my keyring password as is. This
is correct.
Now when I login, and gwibber, pidgin, and so forth start, they all
want to access the keyring. Each application then opens a new unlock
keyring dialog.
The keyring manager should notice multiple requests and not re-open a
new dialog for each request, but rather wait till the keyring has been
unlocked successfully.
For me this is a security issue, as first I thought maybe I mistyped
my password, or thought some malware was trying to phish my password
from me.
