Title:
Ubuntu hangs after pressing Fn + arrow key

Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  ##Fixed in Natty##

  Hello,

On my Samsung R610 laptop I try changing the brightness of the LCD
screen but pressing the Function and up or down-arrow key it displays
the brightness changing notification but does not change brightness
and hangs Ubuntu kind of. No menu will open, keyboard not responsive.
Mouse works but cannot do much. Only power button lets me restart.

  Noticed in the messages log:

[Firmware Bug]: ACPI: ACPI brightness control misses _BQC function

  Help, please.

  Thanks in advance.

  Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
                  - the Lucid Lynx - released in April 2010 and supported until April 2013.
