Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

  Rhythmbox freezes my Thinkpad T43p on song change when the lid is
  closed (set to blank the screen instead of suspending).

  This happens both in AC mode and in battery mode.
  This happens with or without the ubuntu indicator applet.

  When it happens, the system locks up completely; you can't change to
  another TTY or use the magic sysrq{s,u,b] keys.
