Title:
Long text entry makes the application extend past the monitor
  boundaries

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
In a chat session, I have typed a long line of text, and it has made
the application extend past the window boundaries. I can "resolve" the
issue once it's done that by maximising and minimising the window,
however, the next time I type a long line, it does it again.
