Message #40329
[Bug 879620] [NEW] iPod "Import to library" doesn't copy any metadata, but dragging does
Public bug reported:
Right clicking on an iPod (touch 4G in my case) in the left pane and clicking
"Import to library" copies the raw music files but not with any metadata - so
you get a huge list of files like GTRN.mp3 by the end with no title, artist or
album. Going into the iPod's music in the left pane, however, and selecting all
tracks then dragging them to the library, copies them with all metadata intact.
It seems that the "Import to library" button just needs to be rewired to do
what selecting all and dragging does, because the average user may not think of
doing it that way :)
Ubuntu 11.10
Banshee 2.2.0
** Affects: banshee (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
