Have you tried editing the connection, and setting it to "Available to
all users"  if it's not already the case? This is known to help, and if
it's the case then likely you "just" encountered an issue in the
migration of the connections when upgrading.

  Every time i log on/ wake up from suspend, Network-manager asks for my
  network keyword, although it is stored and worked fine until the
  upgrade to 11.10.

  I also filed Bug #874920 because Evolution showed up with the same
  failure, but does not any more. So only network manager seems to be
  unable to read the secret till now.
