@Nick Rundy, I guess the solution would be a preferences window of some sort that allows you to select which ones you don't want to see.
But since this logs disappearing behaviour was NOT intentional and only cropped up in oneiric while being fine in the rest it is still a bug.
What you are proposing is a solution based on your preferences and point of view.
