Message #46291
[Bug 886936] [NEW] /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gtk-2.0 empty
Public bug reported:
Hi,
I am desperately trying to get an external commercial Linux program
(Bibble5) run under Oneiric, which was still working under Natty.
One of the problems is that the program tries to find the 32 bit
libraries under /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gtk-2.0, which is effectively
empty. The machine therefore links against the 64 bit versions, which
results in a crash.
Interestingly, dpkg shows
% dpkg -S /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gtk-2.0
libgtk2.0-0:i386: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gtk-2.0
a package called libgtk2.0-0:i386
Does dpkg now support packages of different architectures?
However, it was working with Natty, and it does not with Oneiric.
Something went wrong between Natty and Oneiric.
regards
