This bug also affects me. Except for I am unable to resolve the issue at
all. Even when killing all telepathy services. MSN will not log in. It
hangs on logging in but never gets through. It has been like this for a
few weeks now.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

  To fix this problem I have to quit empathy and run "killall telepathy-
  butterly" and then starting empathy again. Happens about once a week.
  This has been ongoing since Lucid.
