  Cannot delete letters when searching for files/directories

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1.)  Open a nautilus window.
  2)  Click on a folder and then begin typing to search for directory by name
  3.)  Press Backspace to try to delete a character or two from the search box.
   
  Expected behavior:  The character is deleted, allowing you to back up and change the search word.

  Actual behavior:  Nautilus navigates back one directory, with the
  search box still active.

  Ubuntu release:  11.10
  nautilus package:  1:3.2.1-0ubuntu2
