[Bug 888553] [NEW] running firefox sometimes trashes touchpad

Public bug reported:

After a recent update on my gateway netbook (I run update manager at
least daily) running firefox and going to certain sites (e.g.,
foxnews.com) results in the touchpad no longer responding. Exiting
firefox doesn't help, nor does turning the touchpad on and off (via one
of the function keys). The only "fix" has been to reboot.

I'm running ubuntu-11.10 and firefox-7.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu2
