Title:
Gimp Crashes on Startup with Segmentation Fault

Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gimp

  Hi,

I've just installed Natty 64 bit as a fresh install and can't start
Gimp. I installed Kubuntu-desktop and am using KDE as my default
  session type.

Running gimp through gdb I get the following message (before running
  any backtrace or anything):

  Starting program: /usr/bin/gimp
  [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]

  (gimp:2799): GLib-WARNING **:
  /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.28.6/./glib/goption.c:2132: ignoring no-arg,
optional-arg or filename flags (8) on option of type 0

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
  gtk_text_view_set_attributes_from_style (widget=0xc67370, previous_style=<value optimised out>) at /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.24.4/gtk/gtktextview.c:6380
6380 /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.24.4/gtk/gtktextview.c: No such file or directory.
          in /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.24.4/gtk/gtktextview.c

I have attached the full backtrace.

If there is any more information required please let me know.

  Cheers!
