Message #49431
[Bug 765123] Re: Group membership is not saved on client restart.
It seems to pull the group memberships from the chat service each time
empathy is opened. For example, if you have a group setup in your
facebook contacts, then each time you open empathy, the members of that
group will be listed in that group, even if you changed it last time you
were in empathy.
I'm not sure this is a bug, or more a feature request to the empathy
team.

Title:
Group membership is not saved on client restart.
Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: empathy
When empathy goes offline then online, or my account is disabled and
re-enabled, or when the chat client is quit and restarted, some small
number of randomly selected contacts are displayed either in the
"Ungrouped" or default "Buddies" groups. It's not always the same
contact, but there seems to be several contacts to whom this happens
more frequently.
If it matters, the only account that I use is IBM Sametime.
