[Bug 870522] Re: Rhythmbox does not add music to library from external hard drive
It's been a while since I reported that bug. At the moment it is running
OK. I won't persevere with this bug report.

Title:
Rhythmbox does not add music to library from external hard drive
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal
Rhythmbox 0.13.3
I've spent the last few hours today trying to get Rhythmbox to add my
music collection to my library. It's set up with the hard drive as the
Library Location in Edit --> Preferences --> Music and with 'Watch my
library for new files' ticked. It's my own fault, as I started
Rhythmbox without the HDD turned on, didn't think, and chose 'Import
Errors' and then "Remove', losing the whole library. I didn't mind,
because when I have loaded it before, it didn't take too long.
This time, however, I switched it on, checked the Rhythmbox settings
and waited. After nothing happening for a while, I selected 'Music -->
Import Folder...' and chosen the folder on the external HDD. If I
choose an album folder (with 10 songs on it) the indicator in the
bottom right hand corner has an orange segment going backwards and
forwards, and says 'Importing (0/10)', but nothing seems to happen
(yet, for a long time).
