[Bug 900683] [NEW] thunderbird fails to connect to https with sni (rss feed)

 

Public bug reported:

trying to subscribe to an rss feed that is served over https with sni
enabled on the server, thunderbird fails to connect to the right virtual
host. the https url is working fine in Firefox and Chromium. Thunderbird
however shows a certificate warning for another virtualhost.

Thunderbird has to support SNI for feed urls.
