Message #55634
[Bug 901718] [NEW] Firefox freezes on clicking on an image and dragging
Public bug reported:
When It happens?
Whenever I visit a webpage, with image, and then I click on a image, and drag it around.
What should happen?
A slightly transparent ghost of that image should move along the pointer, till the mouse button is released.
What happens?
The slightly transparent ghost of the image is generated, and moves along the mouse for a few milliseconds, and then stops, and the system freezes and becomes unresponsive. Only my mouse moves in the screen. Whatever I click, or keyboard shortcuts (like alt+tab for application switch) I use produce no effect whatever. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds. After that the ghost image goes back to position and disappears. And system starts behaving normally. The links I had clicked during the unresponsive period are launched, and the keyboard shortcuts used respond.
I feel this may most likely be a compiz bug. However I am uncertain.
Do let me know how to post a more verbose bug message if necessary.
