Title:
Says connecting but doesn't connect to internet

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have created my account and it is a valid account on Yahoo. Empathy
says it's connecting but will not connect to the internet. Has been
trying to connect for 20 minutes. I am also browsing the web as it's
trying to connect so I do have internet access. Why won't it connect?!
I am using the latest version of Ubuntu Using Empathy 3.2.0-0ubuntu1.
I expect to have the programming to be looked over and fixed. I want
to video chat with my mother in England and it's not connecting to the
internet. I'm currently using pidgin IM and it's better because it is
working. Too bad it doesn't have video capabilities or I'd use that
program solely. Please attend to this problem Thank you very much.
