Thank you for taking time in filing the bug to make ubuntu better.
is this problem is with only facebook?
please attach auth-client log file with the bug report?
you can get it from help==> debugg menu

Empathy doesn't work neither with my Facebook account nor with Google.
Reports error in both accounts and turns off the window with account
settings before I can change them.
