Title:
Up button lacks navigation along sub-domains

Status in Epiphany Browser:
  New
Status in “epiphany-browser” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

(This is more of a "Blueprint" than a bug; however, Blueprints seem to
be disabled for the ephiphany-browser package.)

One of the things I love about Epiphany is it's simplicity and speed:
it has all the essential features of a web browser, and runs much
quicker than other browsers on my system. One feature I consider
essential is the "up" navigation. On Firefox, the extension "uppity,"
as well as the Google Toolbar, implement this feature very well. I am
pleased to see Epiphany includes this feature natively, and I mostly
satisfied with the current behavior. In addition to the current
behavior, I propose that the "up" navigation move up from sub-domains.
For example, if I am at the following url:

  http://debtorrent.alioth.debian.org/

When I press "up", I expect to move to the following location:

  http://alioth.debian.org/

Another move "up" should place me at:

  http://debian.org/

And here it stops. Currently, I don't see a way to move "up"
subdomains. This is the natural and expected interpretation of "up",
as many websites use sub-domains in addition to folders for their
  hierarchy.

  Distribution: 8.04.2 LTS
  Package name: epiphany-browser
  Package version: 2.22.2-0ubuntu0.8.04.5 (from `apt-cache policy epiphany-browser`)

P.S. If this feature appears in 8.10 or 9.04, please let me know.
Hopefully we can get it in 8.10.3 LTS.

  Cheers,
  James Carroll
